Now Openly Targeting Our Children - Isn't this a step TOO far?

The advert says, "he's got the World in his hands" - conveniently not mentioning the microwaves going through his vulnerable, sensitive and partially formed brain...
We do not only have harmful Wi-fi in most of our schools today to worry about, but shortly it will probably be the case that we have even more microwave emitting sources placed deliberately in our schools and on the laps of our children.

The DfES (Department for Children, Schools and Families) and BECTA (a Governmental Organisation to "Improve learning through technology") are sponsoring an event which is promoting further microwave exposure to children and staff at schools - the Handheld Learning Conference, 10-12 October 2007, in London.

This is despite the Department of Health's advice that young children use mobile phones as little as possible, due to possible health effects from the microwave radiation from them.

Almost all of these 'handheld' devices are wireless and, thus, will be emitting microwave radiation at extremely close quarters to all the children (and adults) using the gadgets - and filling the whole school with a massive increase in microwave radiation - as if schools and children are not getting microwaved enough already, with mobile phone masts nearby or on the schools.

It seems it will be mostly up to concerned parents to try to ensure the safety of their children at schools, since the Government seems hell bent on advancing the technology in our schools (and towns and over the whole of GB), despite the ever increasing mass of evidence showing that microwave radiation is seriously harmful.

Well, what did we expect –

Will a study funded by the Industry and Government ever say that mobile phones and their masts are dangerous?

Of course not.

It really is sickening how they carry on pretending to us that mobiles, their masts, and all the resulting wireless gadgets and technologies are safe – whilst so many people's lives, including their health, continue to be ruined, and their children's health and lives continue to be very seriously threatened.

It was exactly the same with smoking – 'guarantees' of safety from the Industry and Government, despite a wealth of Independent studies showing otherwise whilst, for years, people suffered and died.

Unfortunately, money has a big part to play. Like with smoking, Government and Industry are enjoying their billions of pounds profits whilst the years of 'uncertainty' go on.

How long will it be until the Industry and Government are forced to accept that their biased view is wrong? How many thousands, or millions, of people will have suffered and or died unduly by then?

The consequences this time round are far more dire than it was with smoking, since we are all being targeted with microwave radiation, 24/7, in and out of our homes, almost everywhere, whether we realise it or not, whether we want it or not.

There are many sources: masts and mobiles phones are the obvious, DECT phones, BT HomeHubs, Wi-fi and an astounding number of wireless facilities, gadgets, games, etc. that are brought into homes, offices, shops, outside areas, etc.

For example, in your home, you may be exposed to the microwave radiation from nearby (and further away) masts, - and various Wi-fi systems, HomeHubs, DECT systems, Wireless gadgets, etc. thanks to your various neighbours.

The situation is absolutely horrendous and will only get increasingly worse while Government and Industry continue to ignore the facts regarding the serious adverse health effects from microwave radiation.

How can they continue to put their profits before the public health?

We just hope that those people responsible in Government and Industry and those others who, knowingly or ignorantly, perpetuate the false 'mobiles are safe' message, be brought to account in years to come.

They are, we believe, being criminally negligent in allowing our health to deteriorate - just for profit.

We challenge the Government to carry out detailed epidemiology studies on a house by house scale, to properly examine the claims of Cancer Clusters around masts.

We challenge the Government to properly investigate people's health, where masts have been in existence near by for at least a few years.

We challenge the Government to do this, before it is too late.
